What exactly is halotherapy?
Halotherapy, or dry salt therapy, uses a halogenerator to circulate tiny particles of pharmaceutical-grade salt throughout a dedicated treatment space.
How long is a session?
A standard RE·MEDĒ Halotherapy appointment is 20 minutes.
What does a session feel like?
You sit in a cool, dry environment. It is a quiet, passive experience without steam, exercise or sauna heat.
What should I wear?
Choose comfortable everyday clothing or gym attire. You remain clothed during your appointment.
Will salt get on my clothes or hair?
The particles are extremely fine and typically leave little noticeable residue. Most guests can continue with their day afterward.
How is this different from salt walls or salt lamps?
Salt walls and lamps are generally decorative. Active halotherapy uses specialized equipment to create and disperse a fine dry salt aerosol.
How often can I use halotherapy?
Some guests book occasional appointments, while others include Halotherapy in a regular wellness routine. Frequency depends on preferences, goals and health history.
Can children use the salt suite?
Contact our team beforehand to discuss age requirements and suitability. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the session.
Is the room private?
The suite can be booked privately, and shared sessions with friends may be available. Ask our team about capacity, pricing and availability.
Does halotherapy replace medical treatment?
No. Halotherapy is a complementary wellness experience, not a substitute for diagnosis, medication or prescribed treatment. Evidence for treating specific respiratory or skin conditions remains limited.
Are there reasons to avoid halotherapy?
Yes. Certain illnesses and respiratory, cardiovascular or other medical conditions may require postponing your appointment or consulting your healthcare provider first. Review the precautions below.

- Active respiratory infection or uncontrolled persistent cough
- Open wounds, active skin infection or significant rash
- Recent ENT or sinus surgery without medical clearance
- Severe claustrophobia that would make the suite uncomfortable

- Severe or uncontrolled asthma, or an active asthma attack
- Advanced COPD or supplemental oxygen use
- Significant cardiovascular disease or uncontrolled hypertension
- Active tuberculosis or evaluation for tuberculosis
